African Relief Fund provides humanitarian aid in regions where essential assistance is needed. We deliver impactful development programmes across key sectors including education, clean water, agriculture, healthcare, orphan care, emergency relief, and skills training.
African Relief Fund, Charity Number: 1197360, is a UK-based humanitarian organisation, driven by Islamic values of compassion, dignity, and social responsibility.
We implement aid and development programmes across the African continent, particularly in regions affected by natural disasters, conflict, and displacement. These crises often force families to flee their homes, leaving them without access to food, shelter, or healthcare.
Over the past 25+ years, our projects have supported hundreds of thousands of displaced people, providing them with essential aid and restoring hope during times of hardship.
Established in 1997, ARF operates through primary offices in the UK (London and Birmingham) and Somalia (Mogadishu). We implement programmes directly through our field offices located in major cities across Somalia.
To reach vulnerable communities in rural and hard-to-access areas, we work in close partnership with local NGOs and governmental organisations across Kenya, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Zimbabwe, Djibouti, Puntland, and Jubaland.
Our core focus is the Horn of Africa, where we respond to humanitarian needs in refugee camps in Kenya, drought-affected regions of Eastern Ethiopia, and communities across Somalia. With decades of regional experience and strong local networks, we design and deliver targeted, appropriate, and effective aid programmes.
