Supporting Midwives, Protecting Mothers

In many parts of Africa, especially Somalia, pregnancy and childbirth remain life-threatening due to a lack of skilled healthcare workers. African Relief Fund’s Midwives Support programme focuses on training and equipping midwives so women can give birth safely, with dignity and care.

Our midwifery training has already helped reduce maternal mortality in both urban and rural communities, ensuring mothers and newborns receive the support they need during and after childbirth.
