For rural people in the Horn of Africa, a Masjid is the heart of the community, where people gather for prayer and meetings. No different from a community centre, it is a place for deliberation and where decision-making takes place. At Masjids, children learn, and women support each other. It’s where celebratory events like Eid and weddings are held, and funerals are performed.
Help Build a Masjid
ARF helps rural people who want to build Masjids and community centres in their villages. If you would like to fund a masjid project in the Horn of Africa, we can implement your project. Your donation can go a long way for the Muslim communities in Africa; it will give them a safe harbour and strengthen their beliefs.
Help Build a Masjid
Sara Jabel Village is based in Northern Gambia, where small farmers live. ARF has been working to support them for several years. In 2021, we raised money for a Masjid and Community Centre with the help of generous UK donors. Today, the masjid serves as a place of worship and community gathering for Sara Jabel and the surrounding villages.
Donate NowAfrican Relief Fund is looking for ways to expand its ways to gather donations for aid projects in African communities. But we need your Help. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of unprivileged people in Africa and give them the chance they deserve.
