Millions across the Horn of Africa struggle to access safe drinking water as climate change disrupts rainfall patterns, with prolonged droughts in Somalia, Kenya, and Ethiopia causing displacement, malnutrition, and the spread of waterborne diseases that put entire communities at risk. For over 20 years, ARF has worked with drought-affected communities in Somalia and Eastern Ethiopia to provide reliable access to clean water, and with drought now impacting up to 90% of these regions, the need for sustainable water solutions has never been more urgent.
