Help Them
When displaced families return home, rebuilding life from nothing is often the hardest challenge they face. ARF supports vulnerable communities through sustainable livelihood and income-generation projects, helping families regain independence and stability. Conflict, climate shocks, and natural disasters force people to flee their homes — but when given the chance, most return determined to rebuild. Since launching our Livelihood Programme in Somalia in 2012, ARF has empowered hundreds of individuals with practical skills and resources to start over with dignity.

Women are at the heart of family survival. ARF’s Income Generation Programme prioritises women by equipping them with practical, income-earning skills. Through our seamstress training projects in rural Somalia, women learn sewing and tailoring skills. Upon completion, they receive sewing machines and materials to begin working from home and supporting their families.
ARF supports small-scale farmers with tools, training, and resources to improve productivity. We provide farming equipment, loan tractors to prepare land efficiently, and support poultry farming by donating chickens along with the skills needed to generate sustainable income.
"The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people." (Tabarani).
Across Africa, livelihoods are under constant threat:
Without livelihoods, families remain trapped in cycles of aid dependency. ARF’s livelihood programmes address the root causes of poverty by restoring skills, tools, and opportunities — allowing families to rebuild their lives with dignity and resilience.

Supplies sewing machines or farming equipment for income generation.
Supports a family-run business or farming project from start to stability.
In Balanbale, ARF has trained 30 vulnerable women in sewing and tailoring skills. After completing their training, each woman received a sewing machine and essential supplies to launch her own business. Today, these women produce school uniforms for local children, earn a steady income, and support their families with pride and dignity — proving that livelihoods restore more than income, they restore hope.
Let's help them. Let's build them a better livelihood.
