African Relief Fund (ARF) founded in 1996. It is an independent international non-for profit organization based in Birmingham, the United Kingdom of Britain. The main goal that ARF serves is to provide humanitarian aid and sustained development projects to the poor with the cooperation of local people, governments, non-governmental organizations and charity communities at large.

The ARF supports any non-political initiatives that help change lives of poor communities in general and in particular projects that aimed to human relief, educational developments, health services, sanitation, clean water as well as ARF have a sense of duty of supporting internal displaced people (IDPs) and orphans in developing countries particularly in Africa.

The ARF currently works in Somalia with particular interest in specialized humanitarian emergency relief, education services, poverty reduction, and peace building programmes. This office has been gained adequate field experience since it has started its operations in Mogadishu, Somalia in January 2005. It has also achieved a tangible production of services and support in education sector. We have many schools in hand most of them located in remote areas of the country that comprises in any level of studies of up to secondary education, in nation wide. We managed 17824 pupils in any age of learners and 746 pay and unpaid teaching, administrative and other supporting staff in nation wide. We are also confident for any success we achieved was not possible without local people participation, support and encouragement of our donors. Again, we are proud of helping to create a safer environment and more dignified life for poor, refugees and internally displaced people. We advocate for their rights and assist to assure them shelter, education, and food distribution.
